The CEC as it is known is a separate committee set up by the WBOA to perform community outreach efforts and programs primarily within the park and surrounding communities. The committee is made up of tenants, property managers/owners and other citizens of the park and funded by an annual budget by the WBOA Board of Directors. Our mission is “dedicated to providing activities, communications, community service and friendships with the Westfields Center." The CEC is also responsible for the annual "Taste of Westfields" annual events as well as other community events and programs throughout the year. We encourage tenants and residents to get involved and help make this park and community an exciting and friendly place to work, live, stay, and play!
We meet the 2nd Thursday of every month from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. Typically the meeting is hosted at one of the companies or tenants in the park. Lunch is provided at these meetings.
The WBOA CEC supports and programs many community events.
Annually: Westfields E-Cycle Event, Taste of Westfields Event, End of Year Holiday Events
Other Programs: Lunch & Learns, Health Fairs, Women's Self Defense Classes, and many others.
The CEC is fully engaged in the Westfields and surrounding community for over 30 years. We have established many partnerships and working relationships that foster and promote positive community impact.
A few examples include Westfield High School Business Partner, Western Fairfax Christian Ministries supporter, Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce, Dulles Area Transportation Association (DATA) Partner, Friends of the Court, Fairfax County Police - Sully District Station, Police Academy and other programs.
