Don’t Miss Out: Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) Presentation – Presented by Fairfax County Police
With all of the active shooter/active aggressor events and other critical incidents happening across the world, it only makes sense to be prepared.
The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (C.R.A.S.E.) course, built upon the Avoid – Deny – Defend strategy developed by ALERRT at Texas State University, equips you with vital strategies, guidance, and a proven plan for surviving active shooter/active aggressor events and other critical incidents.
This 75-minute lecture will educate participants on attackers, past events, disaster response, and how to prepare for and respond when trapped in a building during an active violence event. You’ll also gain insight into the steps law enforcement will take to assist and limit casualties. Community members are welcome to attend this training, though please be aware that certain content may be upsetting.
All attendees must be at least 18 years old.
Important Note: We’re offering two presentations on the same day.
- Session 1: 11:30 a.m.
- Session 2: 6:30 p.m.
